I love Elvis’s pushing the cushion under the baby’s bum. Is that poor cat going to survive the baby’s walking lessons?
Baby just wants to FLY!
Elvis always takes care of family! He’s the protector.
It’s a relief to see the Man has recovered from the robosnake attack.
Why walk when you have a big strong daddy to hold you above the floor?
Don’t rush it, kid. If you learn to walk, they’ll next expect you learn to talk. Then they’ll send you to school where you’ll learn to sit down and shut up. Plus maths. By the time you’ve learnt that, you’ll be eighteen. Childhood gone, and no more fun ever. Just work while your body falls to pieces with you still in it.
Dangle from your dad’s hands while you still can, and try not to think about the fate that awaits you.
Elvis on the job!
If you are that close to the floor, it’s no big deal. If you fall down, first see if anyone is watching before you decide to cry.
Elvis the security blanket.
Aww, the Baby is such a charmer.
Off Topic, but I need advice from anyone who’s had this problem. One of my older cats (14), a siamese mix, has lost half her body weight in just a couple of months. Her bloodwork is normal, her xrays are so normal they look like anatomical drawings. She had one loose tooth and the vet got that yesterday. She drinks a tiny bit of water but just isn’t interested in eating more than a bite or two of dry food. She won’t even look at wet food. She’s longhaired and had some mats so the vet shaved her and now she looks like a wraith from a cat horror movie. One of the others actually jumped back and ran when she came out of the carrier. i’m afraid she’ll die by starving herself to death. Her behavior is normal otherwise. Any suggestions? The vet is hoping the tooth will make a difference but I doubt it will, her others are sound and she could have eaten around that one. Thanks.
I have two teenagers, both in high school level classes. My daughter goes to public high school by choice and the school is constantly on her about her future…what does she want to do? Where will she go to college? Pick a future…NOW!
My Grandfather made it to 95 and worked passed 70. My Father is 86, and worked past 70. With improvements in healthcare, making it to 100 years old should not be unexpected. Why should a kid at 17 have to decide what she wants to do for the next 50 years? Let kids be kids, for as long as possible.
Alexandria (Alex) loves Art (drawing – sculpture), loves riding horses (dressage), loves computer games (what the hell is Fortnite?)…and high school has her stressed out. So unnecessary.
Mac at 13 knew he wanted to dance classical ballet. That is wonderful, but he is an outlier. I encourage any young person to realize that you will have plenty of time to reinvent yourself a couple of times. Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up.
With the Baby’s blue eyes, Elvis must think she’s part Siamese.
Well, if the Baby had four (or in the case of Puck, three) equally long legs, this whole “learning to walk” thing would be so much easier. It’s those useless short, front People legs that are messing things up.
I unknowingly helped a friend’s niece take her first steps the first time she met me, when she was about 8 months old. I was with my friend when we went to visit his sister and her family, and I was entertaining myself by watching the little girl play on the floor (her name was Taryn). Taryn crawled over to me and I held out my hand to her. She grabbed it, pulled herself up, and started walking toward me. So I walked around with her for a few steps as she giggled just like the Baby is doing here.
I didn’t realize anything was amiss until I looked up and both her parents were gaping at me. Not only were those the first steps Taryn had taken, she apparently had otherwise displayed a paralyzing fear of most men.
Thank you all for the kind words yesterday! If you right click my profile picture and choose open photo in a new tab, you will see the tattoo. The dragonfly yin yang is my balance and acceptance of surviving the accident. It was planned a month before. Pixie and her rescue date and passing date are added due to her passing.
Wait! She has a full set of teeth?
I just had my second night of insomnia in a row. It was interrupted by a thunderstorm.
Dang it, the, Cute Meter, has broken again!
Elvis, ever on guard! Give him a treat!
baby having fun !
OT: NEVER FORGET
Obviously this comic has no basis in real life.
A story from 8 years ago about hope on 9/11
Elvis is spotting.
I’ve learned my lesson.
I’m only doing my 4 favorite comics.
Hello Anne, I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. I don’t want to be alarmist, but is the vet sure it isn’t Feline Infectious Peritonitis? I lost my 12-year-old cat to FIP not long ago, and the circumstances sound similar — drastic weight loss, only able to get down a mouthful or two of food, nothing showing up on the scans. Apparently it’s very tricky to diagnose. I very much hope that isn’t your kitty’s trouble. Best wishes.
Baby is having way too much fun to do anything boring like learning to walk. It looks like Daddy is sharing the fun.
I love it when babies do this. They’re so adorable!
why do you ignore 9/11?
Good boy, Elvis. Help the man out. Get that pillow ready to catch.
Note for Kindle owners. One of Amazon’s daily deals is for “I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats” volumes one and two by Francesco Marciuliano. The price for today only is $1.99 each.
Elvis sure loves his babies!
This is happening to my Gracie. I feed her Iams but there is no warning out that I know of about food.
I discovered this morning that Kiki is a butter licker. XD
