I’ll admit upfront, I post my art on facebook for the attention. What other reason is there?

Most creative people I know create for the same reason they breathe. They have no choice.

Sorry to get serious. It was a funny strip.

Berkeley Breathed called his profession a “stripper.” Pastis must have misunderstood.

I, for one, am all in favor of giving you a hug, but you need to put your clothes back on first.

This is irrelevant to the strip, but maybe, the crocs would go to the supermarket and discover Zebra cakes. Then who knows what they would do!

The strippers I know are often victims of childhood abuse and neglect. To say they are seeking acceptance and admiration, while true on one level, cruelly simplifies a complex and tragic issue, and shows a sort of simple minded lack of empathy, and, in this case, makes me cringe instead of laugh. (I usually like the strip and think it’s pretty funny.)

Hey! I’m a creative person and I hate being the centre of attention! And stripping really isn’t my thing. If you saw me dance, you’d agree.
