    The last Polio patient in an iron lung just died. He was able to leave the machine if he consciously forced air into his lungs but could not do that for extended periods of course.

    “Krazy Kat” is perhaps better than any of these except perhaps “Thimble Theatre”. King Features has several classic strips but the subscription is rather expensive. WWII UAP Foo Fighters were named for Smokey’s catch phrase “Where there’s foo there’s fire”.

    Reportedly the only English word derived from a Latin declension ending. “Omnibus” is Dative plural meaning “for everyone” and in usage the root noun was dropped.
