Much as I love today’s joke, I’m also lowkey impressed by the first couple of panels, with Melissa Bangles relaxing against the tree, her thought bubbles forming happy little clouds, while Nancy fails to improve in the background.

Like most novels, we won’t understand till Chapter-10. Trust and obey…. In a month or two we will be able to re-read War and Peace with greater understanding.
Totally impressed that Nancy’s desire to dominate is so strong that she’s still tossing that basketball. Even if she can’t hit the basket, her force in throwing it where she’s throwing it should be strong enough to knock that magnet-school trash talker head over heels. Can we be sure that’s not her goal?

I had the same thought as RR Bedford…. when I heard the teacher’s name…. I immediately thought of the musical group (due to the teacher’s last name).
With Nancy’s vertical thrust not seeming to be on the pathway towards success anytime soon…. perhaps she may need to switch strategies and suggest a switch to dodgeball. :)
