I think it would be about a day. Tanuki’s magic isn’t that strong. Plus, Ryan’s parents would be worried sick if it was any longer.

Would you try Tanuki’s ramen? It looks like Ryan got the first bowl. Maybe the recipe got an upgrade?

    You’d better believe it!

J knows how to make summer homework cool. It’s impressive that he’s working on it early and not waiting until one week before school starts as I would have.

    Same here!

I remember feeling like this when I was teaching English in Japan—not being completely connected to the society but also feeling safe to walk the streets and just be myself. When I visit Osaka now, I think more people are accustomed to seeing foreigners. It makes me hope more Black people will travel and explore the world when everything opens back up again. Even a little break from your home country can be good.

My wife wrote today’s comic. We all struggle with this around our house. How can you say it?

  8. 17 days ago on Little Fried Chicken and Sushi

There’s always one guy like this at every store.

  9. 24 days ago on Little Fried Chicken and Sushi

I agree. But I still needed a reason for Tanuki to give himself a striped tail again.

  10. 24 days ago on Little Fried Chicken and Sushi

That is true. Thank you. The challenge has been with new readers having trouble understanding what Tanuki is when they see him. Is he a dog? A strange bear? Giving him back the striped tail makes him instantly recognizable as a raccoon-like animal. My apologies for the inaccuracy, but it helps with clarity.
