The strips from Tuesday and today couldn’t be more different. Brad is enjoying the love of a spouse, while Luann is lamenting the lack of it. Then again, it’s because of where they are in their respective lives: Brad has grown and evolved, while Luann has yet to grow further.

Brad you’re one smooth operator!

Very sweet. Now how much you wanna bet tomorrow’s strip is how we see their Valentine’s Day ruined by Shannon being dumped on them last minute for the umpteenth million time?

No, Brad is looking good. They both do.

And now we begin a story where Brad begins to realize that Toni has a short term memory problem.

Fitting indeed, that this week should peak with Brad and Toni on St. Valentine’s Day. But the week’s not over yet. I foresee , on February 15, the first dawn light streaking the sky when a car parks by a certain bachelor cottage. In the second panel, we see a silent silhouette taking shoes off at the door and discretely slipping into the dark house. 3rd panel: Les in pajamas throws on the light to reveal a startled, disheveled Gunther, but all Les says is, “I won’t tell Luann.”

Nice. Giving tops getting moreso than Christmas.

Sure am happy we get to see Toni and Brad today.

Thanks, Greg, for the respite from teen angst to actual love!

Isn’t it about time for Toni to get pregnant?

Two roses to get, today. Sadly, they go to my wife’s grave. :(

Toni. while Brad would appreciate anything you might’ve bought him, it’s kind of obvious that he appreciates what you DID give him. (And, if things progress the way most of us think they will, you both will appreciate what you gave each other.)

When you consider where Brad started at, to see him like this, is wonderful!!! A firefighter, wife, great father to a rather damaged girl needing special care…And, even able to help his sister figure out life!!!

This is what’s it’s all about. I don’t need a day on a calendar to remind me to tell my wife (or my family) that I love them.

Saturday screams out for two of the characters most iconic characters, Tiffany and/or Gunther! What’s with them on Valentines Day or the day after. OR The Day After The Night Before in Gunther’s case?

Les and Punk could be considered a Valentine couple. Even Luann and Bernice on Sunday were a strip staple couple over the decades. Brad and Toni, a married couple, were perfect on V-Day with a physical expression of V-Day love. But Lu and Pru? And Bern, Dez and Mother Earth? These seem somewhat out of place.

Is Saturday going to end the week on another case of unrequited love, like Luann? OR A giant teaser for use to ponder??? :o)

Very beautiful, such a beautiful, sexy, deeply in love couple; what’s on the envelope, other than a card? Tomorrow I hope Bets and Gunther, with a variation of her padding around fixing breakfast in the kitchen of the bachelor pad.

They have such a great romance and story arc. Greg Evans was pretty clever about how he left it to the imagination as to whether they had pre-marital sex (I say they did), but the evolution of their relationship from first meeting to the present is absolutely incredible. It’s a truly enduring marriage. They still have room to grow: they deal with Shannon, they deal with fires, finances, and family, and at some point, I’m sure Toni will get morning sickness, leading to a whole new plotline.

So who do we see tomorrow? Nancy and Frank or Bets and Gunther? Maybe Irma and Al? Hopefully not Tom and Ann.

Why not celebrate Tom and Ann on Valentine’s Day?…it would be interesting to see some development of their interpersonal dynamics…as things stand now, Tom is stupid and Ann is manipulative… surely there’s more to it than that.

This is the third night in a row that I can’t get Arcamax to load. Since most of the posters here take turns either hating on Luann or yawping about how it’s time for Toni to get pregnant, and since GoComics doesn’t seem to refresh it’s site until, what, 4 am EST, I can only hope that the Evanses will bring Luann to Comics Kingdom…
