Alice is pretty “quick on her feet” if she can stomp a butterfly.

Self defense of a theory that’s bull, but I don’t criticize people who kill butterflies. I only killed one because I could see that it wasn’t doing well physically when I found it so

I certainly accept talking butterflies, but I doubt that many of them quote Yeats.

The butterfly is but an alternate version of Alice. By attacking the butterfly, Alice attacks herself.

Oh, by the way: the phrase goes that a butterfly IN THE AMAZON flaps it’s wings. She was safe and didn’t know it.

Whenever I see a photo of a little girl with a butterfly on her nose, I am reminded of the time I was hiking and came upon a meadow that was littered with thousands of fresh cow pies, and each pie had dozens of butterflies chowing down on them…

Sheesh, I never knew butterflys were so rude. Give a guy a compliment and he turns around and scares the bejeezus out of you. You did the right thing, Alice. Nobody likes a fear mongerer, besides, this neighborhood no doubt has seen it’s share of frog showers, courtesy of Dill’s brothers.

You know it’s Karma (even if you don’t know the word), Alice!

A long, long time ago, when I was a young adult, I was sitting in the sun on a bench outside of our place of work and casually stepped on some ants when a female co-worker came out and, seeing what I was doing, reprimanded me; as I held her in regard, I took her words seriously, and since then have tried to avoid killing even an insect unless it was a threat to me first….
