A hole in the top and bottom.

A multitasking booth. Don’t forget the Poof.

Port-a-potties? At last Batiuk finds a quick way to dispose of his own strip!

Ed is well-versed in the use of “private viewing booths,” from the year that the Valentine Theatre was a bitty tar.

Don’t you think that the porta pot people would be a bit upset that you’re going to destroy their rental units by cutting holes in the top,

I’m guessing he needs a permit from the city, which he probably doesn’t have, and his whole thing will get shut down.

Any attempt to view any given eclipse is a crapshoot. From planning a site, to setting equipment ready, watching the weather, avoiding hucksters & gougers (looking at you, major motel chains!), having plans B, C, & D road routes in case a chase is necessary to get out from under the weather, etc, etc, etc…

Had good luck in ‘17 & got a great view, but had to drive about 100 miles to get out from under clouds on eclipse day. Fingers crossed for monday, but the weather isn’t looking promising.

That’s it for me. I’ll wait until this particular set of the comic strip is over.

Any profit Cranky makes will go towards restoring the front lawn, which will be trampled into oblivion by thousands of strangers.

The partial eclipse will last over two hours. In the path of totality, the total eclipse will only last up to 4 minutes…….purty much like a wedding or funeral!

Here in San Antonio, the mass of people expected, Ed’s ideas would really work. Not to sure about the port-a-pots though.

    1) Where did he get the “money” to pay for all this stuff? (Does Scenterville even have a bank?)

    2) And when / how was it delivered? Why didn’t we see that happening?

    3) And what is he going to do with all that stuff after the eclipse? I doubt that the town dump is big enough to hold it all.

    4) Oh, right. “It’s a cartoon.”
