We got married on July 03, 2011. I joke I lost my independence a day before Independence Day.

Arlo saw his shadow and got six more weeks of fooling around with Janis.

Here I was thinking Arlo was referring to the anniversary of the strip first being published, but turns out that’s July 29.

Today is the 36th anniversary of “She said yes!” for my wife and me.

One of my computer backgrounds is a wedding picture with the date on it.

GHD is my anniversary, and so easy to remember that all of my family call to wish us a happy day.

I got married on 12/13/14. That’s pretty easy to remember.

If Janis doesn’t see her reflection, six more hours of, you know, wink, wink, nudge, nudge…

Here’s what I want to know: Do they remember their individual anniversaries?

This past Tuesday was the 29th anniversary of our first date.

Our 28th wedding anniversary is coming up in early May.

I was married on the very day some nut famously predicted the apocalypse would occur. Turns out marriage is NOT the end of the world.

Much less chance of forgetting your anniversary if your anniversary is also that anniversary. :)

Groundhog Day is the best holiday in my book! No deaths in the family. Almost every other holiday is tainted.

Time to go hide the groundhog.

Is Gene’s birthday in November?

Fifty two years last Halloween.

Last November was 50th anniversary of our first date.

As for our “romantic” wedding date (several years later) it was selected for those romantic ideas of: husband’s vacation (set by his employer closing for two weeks ), no taxes due that month (am an accountant), the venue our mothers wanted was available, and the Interfaith chapel at the college my dad taught at, part time, was available.

I did not want a wedding – just take our immediate families and get married at county hall – maybe go for lunch after. I was overruled by husband and our mothers. When all was calmed down a couple of months after the wedding and all (including the two of us) were talking to each other again he agreed that I was right and we should NOT have a big wedding.
