This is exactly how the corrupt majority on SCOTUS operates. They start with how they want to rule on a given issue. Then they write the ruling, bending and twisting the words in the Constitution so it appears that’s the way they had to rule.

    From the New York Times:

House Set to Approve Biden Impeachment Inquiry as It Hunts for an Offense

Republicans are pushing forward with a formal investigation even though their yearlong scrutiny of the president and his family has turned up no proof of high crimes or misdemeanors

As opposed to impeaching, then looking for evidence as in the two impeachments of Trump, this is an impeachment inquiry, not trial, to give higher authority to investigate.

But progressives just don’t read enough to understand the difference between investigation and trial, as they skipped the former.

I don’t think it will ever get that far. To begin with, and impeachment takes actual work and R’s are no good at that. Next, an impeachment might actually disclose how feeble the arguments are, and they don’t want that. The goal is to hang a dead skunk on Joe Biden and create as much stink as possible to keep the issue alive. Ask Ms. Clinton for more details.

It’s getting so, if the Repubs control the House and a Dem is in the WH, then there will be an impeachment. It’s a given. It’s immaterial whether the Dem prez did anything wrong while serving as President, just because he’s a Dem. In fact, the Dem prez’s only crime, if you can call it that, doesn’t even have to be during his presidency. Just breaking a common law in a previous life, or having a child that broke a law likewise, is enough for a Repub impeachment.

Like Rudy said, “We have lots of theories we just don’t have any evidence…”

Judge scolds Rudy Giuliani in defamation case for repeating false claims against election workers

Giuliani has had trouble paying lawyers in the trials piling up against him and his lawyer argued the payment for damages would amount to a financial ‘death penalty.’

Moss and her mother Ruby Freeman are suing Giuliani for up to $43 million for defaming them with bogus accusations they stole votes and flooded the system with illegal ballots while counting votes in Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on election night.

People associated with traitor Trump just cannot stop lying no matter how much they get sued for.

As one of the loony Republicans stated when asked what the purpose of this kangaroo court was, “Donald Trump 2024, baby!”. They’re not even hiding that they’re trying to steal the election with garbage like this. Don’t worry though as they’ll make sure we never have to worry our little heads with voting ever again once the Fascists win. Vote Blue or accept living in a 3rd world hellhole.
