I’ve been wondering how it is that Ace Obedience would let a little girl act like a dog. But, hey, they probably just figured she’s bored and looking for something fun to do. And when she shows up at the first day, dressed in shorts and sandals, and having the $25, they figure, heck, just go along with the cute kid with more money than sense. I’m sure the trainers just had a great laugh. The diploma was the coodegras. Now they have a story to tell to their kids.
When I was a kid, our boxer puppy got a diploma that said she passed obedience school “satisfactorily.” She enjoyed a long career of jumping on kids thereafter.
Marcie and Peppermint Patty may be peculiar, but they are still miles ahead of the other female Peanuts characters in my book. Lucy, Patty and Violet are hopeless. Sally is just okay… I think she got her mean edge from hanging out with Lucy!

Peppermint Patty is a very fetching child. (If someone has already used that line in this arc, I apologize.)

You know she’s happy when the words out of her mouth aren’t “Stop calling me sir!’”

Well, at least she did something to deserve the diploma. Victories, no matter how small, should be celebrated.

I’m certain that when the truancy officers show up at Patty’s house the diploma should be explanation enough.
