So the bedraggled looks-kind-of-like-Boopsie woman from earlier Sunday strips is somehow connected to Duke, inasmuch as she’s right there with Earl and Trff.
Really? Why don’t you just invent a fresh new character instead of offering up a sacrifice of old villans. Don’t get me wrong, Duke deserves it but where’s the imagination and the exploration? Never mind, I won’t Bud Lite you anyway. You do you guys.
I find interesting stories about women who pretended to be men all their lives in order to have “men only” professions, doctors, scientists, musicians. Joan D’Arc doesn’t count because she didn’t pretend to be a man.
If I may recommend a book, though it’s fiction, read “ Monstrous Regiment,” by Terry Pratchett.

A drag KING, not too often spoken of as compared to drag queens. Although I just read about a drag king in the NYT.

Ironically, I had just watched Matt Baume’s review of Some Like it Hot (1959), and I’m listening to the Broadway version now.
