You expected consistency from a cat?

Age changes us all.

We produce so many empty boxes these days, they are just boring.

My cat sometimes loves a box and sometimes not!

That is the definition of being a cat!

But I only like to play in them while you’re popping bubble wrap

Arlo overestimating his abilities to understanding?

Yeah, but not when you just give it to him. It’s no fun when he’s allowed to be in it.

You ruined it when you gave him permission. If you had said “Stay out of the box!” he’d have jumped in it as soon as your back was turned.

One day we left an empty box with the flaps closed but not sealed on the floor. Poor cat got quite a surprise when they decided to jump up on top of it.

Jump in it and show him how.

If you tell them it is for them, they won’t want it.

Loodie has discovered that he can think out of the box.

Only if you don’t give it to the cat. He has to find it himself.

One box but not four.

I built a “temporary” kitty climbing toy out of several boxes. It’s still around after several months and my cats still play on it although they have others I’ve built from wood.

You don’t just give a cat a box, you have to put it to the side like you are going to use it and he can’t have it.

There appears to be a glut in the housing market…

he heard about Schrodinger and his cat, and decided he wanted no part of that . :-/

Probably dinner time and Ludwig has his priorities!

We vary the height and sizes. Some just empty others with toys, 9 Happy cats

Is this the first time Mr. Johnson has referred to Ludwig as “Loodie”? I remember “Luddie”, but not “Loodie”…

It’s not small enough. Give him one that’s a little bit too small so he doesn’t quite fit….

I have seen video where even the “Big Cats” (tigers & lions on nature preserves) sit in big boxes

A cat will never be interested in something you WANT them to be interested in.

Not when you’re watching!

Put a pillow in it. He will love it again. He is getting old after all.

They do. It’s the ones you don’t want them in.

Not when you make a big deal of it.

I have a young kitten and he is totally not interested in boxes. All my other cats have loved them.
