And then I see how ‘happy’ Calvin’s dad is and I wonder.

I don’t mind either, Calvin. At least, that’s what my mother always used to say. She’d say “lalapalooza, you just don’t mind!”

If ignorance is bliss, Calvin is ecstatic!

Don’t worry about it Calvin when you grow up, people will tell you what to think, you won’t have to do it for yourself.

Our teachers constantly banged on us for day dreaming which we now know is the highest form of thinking.

Cal works best in the Tom Sawyer mode. Adventure is more fun than school and work.

Another unimpressed dad.

This is how politicians come to be.

I flunked a few tests in school. Even got an F on a report card once. The F was a wake up call. The next grade on that report card was a B and A’s from then on. Sometimes, a person has to know they can fail before they realize they better work a little harder to avoid it.

Dad’s are that way. No fun when you are a first grader.

Planning for the future is important, but remember that nobody ever drew their last breath wishing that they’d spent more time at the office.

I am embarrassed, but I relate to Calvin on this one- – “study only what interests you”

Nor have those pesky employers.

That’s an obvious case of his teacher and dad not having their priorities in line!

Ahh yes, another Burger King U grad.

Oh yes, I’m pretty sure the Dad was a lot like Calvin at age six.

Hmmm… Calvin was way ahead of his time.

You can choose to remain ignorant, Calvin, but you can’t choose to avoid the consequences of being ignorant.

Ignorance is bliss

Calvin fulfilled his destiny by moving to Florida and getting into Republican politics.

oh, and education isn’t a top priority, Calvin?

We are all ignorant and agnostic. Some are more ignorant of some things than others and just loves it. Learning from mistakes is part of life. If your can’t do it you and we are in trouble. Why evolution would give us such people I am not sure yet.

Ignorance may be bliss, Calvin, but it isn’t a thing to which one should aspire.

Ignorance is a quality if life issue. A negative one.

Tests by Mrs Wormwood has no relevance to Calvin. He is way ahead of that.

Or any other parent throughout the history of mind control education.
