Maybe Greg can make a New Years Resolution to never make a New Years Resolution cartoon. 39 years is about 38 resolutions too many.

I’ll be 74 this year (assuming I make it), and my resolution is not to make any more resolutions…

At least next December 31, Luann will no longer have to worry about all the resolutions she couldn’t fulfill in 364 days.

I resolve to not make any resolutions this year.

Excellent start. It gives me hope that this will be the year where Luann changes her life, leaving behind the things that have been holding her back and truly committing herself to studying to achieve her goal of becoming a writer.

So, Luann is going to get real is 2023. That should be interesting. Will it be real lazy, real unmotivated, real inconsiderate or maybe just real annoying?

I am surprised Luann even knew the word introspection.

Greg Evans should resolve to bring Ann Eiffel back to the mix and Toni to dump Brad and find someone other than that dufus loser. She is so hawt and deserves better. Much better.

Or better still, visit the Gulag. I’m sure Gunther would just “love” to see you again. Especially if Bets is there. Besides, you and Bets need to the “bury the hatchet,” and not in each other’s heads. At any rate, it won’t be a “dull” visit.

Twenty nine for me. Whenever somebody asks my age, I just tell ‘em that Harry Truman was President when I was born. The younger kids have to Google that!

I’ve always loved the way Luann’s inability to keep her resolutions holds a mirror up to the reader, but not in a judgmental way, just in a realistic and relatable way! But I love this too. She’s growing and changing, and sometimes acceptance (and even acknowledging that we’re not so bad in the first place!) is a really good thing. Bravo, G&K! I dig it.
