Well, our space adventures have as a goal that we are looking for intelligent life. Any species capable of warp drive- or whatever will actually achieve travel to this planet- may have checked us out for the same, and decided to give us at least a few thousand years and check back to see if we’ve made any progress.

This is a classic. I think my all time favorite TDB comic. I don’t recall where I first saw it but it was probably 25 years ago.
