Ahem, howtheduck, didn’ t you say John and Elly would be cool about him being interviewed live at a protest? John here says he’s gonna kill him.

And now we’re to this. Where John overreacts majorly being ready to "kill’ (yell) at him. Like I get he needs to talk some sense into MIke, but John dosen’t really know WHY Mike was doing this. While he knows Mike is in the wrong, having facts on his side, he dosen’t know Mike was basically doing this for funsies, i.e. something he WOULD be rightfully miffed about. It dosen’t ruin the arc as John’s only human and once he actually talks to mike, as we’ll see, he’s much clamer if still firm. Just because somethin’gs realistic dosen’t make it tolerable you know.

Well I’ve seen far worse protests. No one was killed in this one. That’s saying something.

Looks like some of that coffee he spritzed is still on his nose.

Then I would tell Dad to go to he double L. Just me being on television protesting is nothing for a parent to be upset about at all. But then again, I have the scars for protesting.

Don’t bail him out, John. Let him cool his heels in jail until his hearing comes up.

Maybe that will cure his stupidity!!

Brian was seen on TV with Michael standing behind the police line. He will not get the chance to tattle on Michael this time and make himself look like a goody two shoes.

John is acting like an jerk. Mike did nothing wrong and in fact has shown civic responsibility for peacefully protesting against a perceived wrong. Whether that perception was right or misplaced is immaterial. The fact remains that Mike acted on something that he believed in. That is more than john can claim. The only thing we’ve seen John believe in is his trains and his sports car.

I wonder if Michael will choose the Army or the Navy. Maybe the Foreign Legion is an option. You know, Quebec and all.

Hah! Yes, the difference in perspective between parent and child.

Well, at least they didn’t get arrested.

Make Michael walk to school. I went to an out-in-the-woods high school where everyone was bussed. The one exception was a girl who lived just down the road. For her, the walks between classes were longer than the walk to school.

How’s John going to get through the traffic jam at the site?

Why can’t John let his son speak up? Didn’t he and Ellie teach him to express himself – well now he is. It shouldn’t be an embarrassment for speaking out against something like high bus fares.

If he were my kid, I would be proud of him. My son “ran away” when he was ten. Of course, he came back a few hours later. I told him I was very proud of his willingness to make a hard decision and execute it but next time, leave everything that I own when he goes. Like the clothes on his back and the shoes on his feet. He laughed, we hugged and he still lives within 2 miles of us..

Question for Michael: What if your mother suffered an emergency and the ambulance could not get to the hospital on account of the fact that you disrupted traffic?

You did the EXACT SAME THING as a kid, John. We all know it!

In America parents would be jealous their kids were on TV.

If it was my kid, I’d be proud. Next, I’d sit him down and have a serious talk about WHY the bus fare increase was unfair and wrong and how he should be better prepared before his next protest.

Michael needs some praise for voicing his displeasure about price raises.

Likely Dad is paying for the paying for the bus fare. The protest should have been at the school headquarters since the school system likely negotiates the bus fare.

John needs to cool off and be PROUD of him!

Everyone seems to have forgotten that this group BLOCKED OFF TRAFFIC! That’s a crime. Standing up for a belief is one thing; committing a crime and potentially causing serious problems for other people is entirely different.

Instead of being proud, John is chagrined.
