Clever use of available resources. That straightened the line. And at least it’s not toothbrushes.

Hahahaha! Nice little twist, Aaron. Never saw that one coming. Then again, you could almost say that about any Endtown strip since 2009 (“Look at them beans”).

Reminds me a bit of Bill Elder’s version of Robinson Crusoe, where Crusoe, having tools to make a ruler but no ruler to calibrate it, cuts a chuck of straight edge from the picture border. https://oldtales7.wordpress.com/will-elder-robinson-crusoe/

    Potrzebie!

I love the sepia background, and especially the “binocular” view…..that used to show up occasionally in the Saturday Matinee cartoons at the old Grove Theater here in my home town in the 1950s. Our Storyteller has an absolutely encyclopedic knowledge of burlesque slapstick and early cinema.

Wow, they really put the puncture in punctuation. But after getting twanged by Marx, they seem pointless. So, just call him “exclamation Marx”.

It’s a good thing the camera angle shifted for those last 2 panels, or they’d have been DOOMED!

I keep expecting Graham Chapman to march out in a British Army officer’s uniform and say, “No, no no! This is too silly! Let’s change this to something decent and uplifting immediately!”

Makes me think of the “Two Tone Town” folks. “Tiny Toons Adventure” from Warner Brothers first appearance of the Wakko, Yakkko and Dot type characters from Animaniacs.

Panels 8 and 9 are a very nice touch. I’ve seen something like that before in animation. Maybe the guy who did b&w Popeyes. Fleischman or something close to that. Aaron is a practitioner and scholar of the art form.
