Some of Spouse’s potted plants have been in one of her pots or another for more than 10, maybe even 20 years. ’Strue that some of them die, but I suspect it has nothing to do with repotting.
My grandparents used to make runs across the border to Juarez because cigarettes were cheaper there (and didn’t have the Surgeon General’s warning on the pack, although I’m sure that didn’t matter much to them). We’d usually buy little decorative things while we were there (still got my Aztec calendar), and one time Grandma picked up a ceramic flowerpot. We warned her that coming back through the border checkpoint the one thing she should not say when they asked what she bought in Mexico was “just a little pot”.
So of course that’s exactly what she said when they asked.
I was helping an old chum move. Big house to a small place. Overheard … ‘’When did we get all this stuff?’’ …. ‘’45 years and 3 kids. Hon.’’ … ‘’Ohh.’’
Think Opal just gave Earl insult. Where I live at major housing shortage, and prices going up. Just up street I live on looked up on the house, holly molly a lot of money.

I know several of my contemporaries who bought a new home and moved.

Of course you sometimes have to repot an old plant.

Does their house have stairs? Some old people move to get rid of the stairs. Nelson’s life would be harder if they moved farther away from his house.

Moving is always a royal pain.

I knew an old woman who lived in a pot -
A new place to live is what she sought.

The price of your old home has probably increased a great deal … but not enough to afford an equivalent home.

Would you rather be called an old plant, Earl?

Did she live next to the old woman who lived in a shoe?

Actually, replanting an old plant in a new pot can be very good for the plant. Even if it is in an old pot.
