The one on the right brings to mind one of Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s Letters From Prison about the danger of stupidity (which he saw as a sociological issue rather than an inherent quality). Worth the read.

Of course, the joke does not work for a UK audience… that would be a Red Hatted Diver to go with our Black Throated, Red Throated and Great Northern.

Haven’t the right-wingers heard the stories about the orange blob ranting and throwing things at his staff in the Oval Office? That he spent most afternoons out on the golf course? That he spent most mornings sitting on a couch eating Big Macs while watching Fox News? His recorded and widely quoted rant about “why do we spend money on nuclear weapons if we aren’t going to use them”? His utter contempt for the emolument clauses in the Constitution? Anyone who pays attention knows that this orange crybaby is not fit to hold any office, even a small town council seat, never mind President of the United States.

Everybody is endowed with emotions, but not everybody is endowed with intellect.

The first two, well respected American symbols.. the third one not so much. Heck, I’d go out on a limb and say not at all.

We’re seeing too much of that face here and in news media. Media got him taken seriously in 2015 and got him elected in 2016; media created that loon and revels in that power. Shame.

I don’t think the red-hatted is even in the same class (Aves) as the others. Maybe not even in the same phylum.

I have a t-shirt that is something similar, showing dangerous ticks: dog, deer, and luna.

I don’t wear it around here because I don’t want to get shot. Some people are ultra-touchy and well-armed, and I hear it’s not just this area…

Ironic that a person whose Mother was born in Scotland never learned this part of his heritage.
