Evelyn remembered the days she used to come up to the roof to take her clothes off to sun bathe, not to blockout the sun with her husband’s long underwear.

But, seriously – this Summer – like every Summer – barefoot and pregnant. And climbing 4 flights with a load of wet laundry on a 96-degree day. “It’s the good life !” (Gee – maybe the pill is a GOOD thing) Or maybe Al needs a vasectomy…

Almost every home in my neighborhood – including my own, has a rooftop terrace where the wash is hung out to dry. Many of them, like my own, are covered so wash can be hung to dry anytime. Most people here still prefer the fresh smell of air-dryed clothes to machine dryers.
