Loaner Cat could care less there’s something on the screen. She’s ambivalent about the laser light as well. Now my dobe and the laser light? Good gravy, he’d chase it until he collapsed. Go figure.
I had a tablet that had a Screensaver of a interactive fish pond. When you touched the screen it created water ripples and the fish moved away. I would leave the tablet on the floor and it entertained my cat for hours
My wife has a great picture taken in the last century – it shows me typing on a pre-windows computer while our cat is on top of the old CRT monitor looking upside down at the screen as I type.
When I have had to teach class from home (was quarantined twice since September and Fridays are always remote only), my cat loved to look at all my students on Zoom. She’s in closer to the screen so not always seen on the camera. I have a separate keyboard and monitor attached to the laptop. She loves to lay between the keyboard and monitor as well. Unfortunately she also hits the keyboard on the laptop and can really get feisty when I move her out of my way.

Is a cursor more entertaining than a laser pointer?

As are we all Arlo, as are we all.

I wonder if he changed his cursor image to something like this

Being a freelancer, I found out quite early that this is not a very healthy pastime, especially when you have tight deadlines.

At least Ludie’s not trying to catch the mouse.

With Arlo, “Don’t worry, be happy!”

So Janis gets worried when Arlo is quiet for too long, like when kids are up to something.

One time I was watching a Nascar race on TV and my cat raced over and looked behind the TV to see where the cars were going. True Story!

Ludie will get a crick in his neck.

I used to have a cat that loved to watch hockey. He would swat at the players and puck as they moved around on the screen

String, feather, laser, pointer … he’s playing with the cat. He’s okay.

Laser pointer doesn’t work for my cat – just looks annoyed. It keeps my Golden entertained for HOURS, though.

This one feels like a rerun, but I can’t verify by the copyright date.

Hmmm, Arlo is easily entertained, as is the cat!

Outlining all the naked boobs with the cursor to amuse the cat is nothing to worry about.

Mrs. Baker still gets nervous when I’m quietly enjoying myself on the computer.

Years ago, there was a surprisingly entertaining video on the internet of someone messing with a spider on their computer screen that way.

Anything that moves with a cat, fingers, pointers, mice
