He’s a good father. Though his daughter gave him a great lead-in to to air his anger at JJ, he chose not to, and even made an excuse for her.

Our 10 year old granddaughter has insights like this. I can’t decide whether to be proud or terrified.

I wish my granddaughter was as smart as Alex. My son and his ex are supposed to have shared custody, but “Mom” parents when she’s in the mood. Kid doesn’t understand why Mom doesn’t even answer her phone for days. We just tell her “sometime Mom is so busy she can’t answer her phone.” Kid thinks Mom must have important things to do. I know Mom is out spending her current boyfriend’s money on trips, shopping sprees, or spa days.
