A potato by any other name…

Taste is not the only thing a sweetpotato is known for.

No petal-ing potatoes this year.

Did the guy fall face-first into the manure?

A rose plant in a potato field is a weed.

so try to plant roses; it might even out.

… and I wonder how her cooking is.

Let’s call the whole thing off.

I never promised you that you wouldn’t have a rose garden.

Next Valentine’s Day she’s getting a dozen potatoes…so much cheaper, even the long-stem spuds.

New, to us, place in Arizona. Big plants coming up in what looked like a garden area in the yard. They really were spectacularly large, got about 6 ft. high and had some not too spectacular tiny orange flowers on them. I was showing them off to a neighbor who advised me that they were “weeds”.

You say potahto; I say roses???!!!!

That’s OK, just paint circles around your bullet hole and claim your ace! Besides, perfect roses are impossible to grow; perfect potatoes are dead easy.

remember to stop and smell the potatoes…
