When I was a kid, you couldn’t get abnormal psychology books without a license or at least a prescription. Now that the internet sees to it that nobody knows you’re a dog, you can probably buy anything at all…

When your kid has a tiger for a best friend, child psychology sort of falls short. You need real psychiatry. Not for the kid, he’s okay, You’ll need the help.

The books should have been child psychiatry titles.

Yes, they were. Maybe if you and dad would engage with the kid he’d not feel the need to carry on like that with a stuffed toy.

I don’t blame Calvin one bit. The grin on Hobbes is total psycho tiger.

The kind of child psychology books that would have been available to Calvin’s mom were mostly filled with sweeping generalities about what the authors thought was normal. We love Calvin because he can’t even imagine conforming to such nonsense. No wonder the books are useless!

You could use the books to paddle him once in a while.

Brings back memories. I did the whole pillow-around-the-waist thing to help protect from the neighborhood bully who liked to punch people in the gut. In retrospect, his father must’ve beat the stuffing out of him to cause so much pent up hostility!

Those books came too late, should have paid attention during those sex classes and how to prevent pregnancies.

Children are not hard to understand, they are hard to properly raise.

I’m very sorry. I have bad news for you. After a thorough study of Calvin, it has been determined that your application of the child psychology book you bought is the cause of Calvin’s behavioral problems.
