I sincerely doubt Pence would have done better. Impeachment would have been just, but not enough. We need a time machine so we can go back and redo the 2016 election.

It’s well under control. How bout those jobs numbers? Were roaring back. With Trump the glass is always full, thanks to his self aggrandizing leadership./s

A perfect slice, right into a sand trap. Which is a hole in one for Trump.

The U. S. has 4% of the world population, and 25% of the virus infections. We couldn’t be doing any worse if we tried. Maybe a tax cut for the rich would help, that seems to be the Republican answer to everything.

ICU beds are filling up across the country and Trump is busy watching fireworks shows at Mt Rushmore and DC. Such great leadership! /s

Looking at the covid case graph on this toon, I am struck by the societal differences between the US and the rest of the world. We in the US covet our freedom above all else. Our freedom of speech, religion, press, to bear arms, to vote or not to vote, all speak to one of the problems with us getting a handle on Covid 19. Over the decades, our civic responsibility has waned while Japan, with high civic responsibility, is largely in control of their Covid infection. With their lack of freedoms, we would probably not want to live in China, but their strong central government and the peoples’ general acceptance of that authority over them, has made it possible for them to keep in control of Covid.

Though now we have the freedom loving non-maskers and a mostly Covid denying presidency, we still may pull this out to save our nation from this pandemic. In the past, as in WWI and WWII, we have pulled together to defeat the enemy that, like the pandemic, was world envolving. We must do that now. Though our urge is to get out with friends to sporting events, concerts, picnics and all those summer events that lured us in the past, we need to stay at home. It may not be fun, but it is necessary.

We’re number one in covid deaths thanks to the Republican incompetence that is keeping the USA shut down.

Are we allowed to leave the country or has everyone banned us due to the USA being the world’s hot spot for covid?

Look at the leadership and civic responsibility in those countries. This is a temporary situation and could have been made shorter but some idiots were dying for a haircut or a Big Mac. And now they will be really dying. 5000 – 10000 new cases about 15 days after tiny’s party at Mount Rushmore. No idea what the fires will be like. And since local fireworks shows are cancelled look for a greater than normal upsurge in the ER. Too many idiots will be losing fingers, hands, eyes and lives.
