Like all Trump Disciples, Lester believes there should be no national government response to the pandemic. And that any governor who attempts to respond at the state level needs to have their state LIBERATED!
Illinois Representative Darren Bailey was “booted from a legislative session after refusing to comply with the mask requirement.” A vote was taken by the reps present, and even some Republicans agreed that Bailey should be removed. Video of the incident shows Bailey instead wearing a s—t eating grin, as he was led away. Free publicity for him, and no doubt many campaign contributions! And maybe a congratulatory call from Trump?
Mke’s loathing of liberal/progressive ideologies and the anti-republic. anti-democracy, anti-science, misogynistic, supremacist, xenophobic, nationalist, dyspathetic agenda of the “Republican” party limits his ability to be humorous.
Lester draws these things with just one purpose, he loves to read the comments.
“Oh, they’ll really HATE this one!” He says to himself, clapping his hsnds with glee!
“And this’ll really piss those lefties off!” He’ll say, chuckling to himself.
“They won’t even know what this one means!” He doesn’t know either, but that isn’t the point. Kicking those libbies in the backside, that’s what it’s all about!
Some people seem to have missed the message, here, so I’ll explain.
The fatso with the “#Believe Women” shirt is being told a lie by a woman, setting up a conundrum or hypocrite trap. Pretty clever, IMO.
I’m sure the motivation for this is the many people on the left that stood by Dr. Ford while condemning Justice Kavanaugh, stating things like “I believe her”, “All women must be believed”, etc., but when Biden was accused they took the hypocrite highway and defended him instead of believing her.
Mike if guyjen2004 is correct you really should thank him openly. Without his explanation this one falls flat for most. I realize you don’t care- the check cleared, you got your money, F everyone else. But you still like to pretend you have social graces – this is one of those times.
The #MeToo movement should have said “LISTEN to women” rather than believe. There are instances of false accusations just like there are false denials of sexual assault. In addition, I think the movement lumped too many things together. Unfortunately at one time sexual harassment was considered something that women had to tolerate while sexual assault is a CRIME.
If you LISTEN to Tara Reade, you will hear a story about how she felt “uncomfortable” when Biden touched her neck and hair. You will also hear that she did NOT want Biden to withdraw. This matches what she told others and what she says is in the report that the Repub Senate Secretary refuses to release. Now Reade claims that it was a violent sexual assault and says that Biden should drop out.
Other women were blocked from testifying at Kavanaugh’s hearing, just like the Senate refusing to call witnesses at Trump’s impeachment.
“Ha! You libs always say one thing, but what if I apply it to this other completely unrelated thing?!”
I do like though, that even the two people in the background are wearing a mask, so 3 of the 4 people in this cartoon are masked up, indicating that even in Mikey’s La-La Land, the anti-mask liberty loons are a loud, but impotent minority.
Someone did the research on the “believe the woman” meme and found that it’s a lot more… nuanced… than one hashtag. Starting with the fact that the “all” was inserted into it by someone who opposes the idea and wanted a straw-man (straw-woman?) to argue against.
I’m pleased to see that Lester at least painted the shirt in the less extreme form, something he’s not usually good at.
This is one of the times I have to side with Mike. #believewomen is ridiculous and never should have been created. Does anyone think #believemen makes sense?
It should have been #listentowomen or something along those lines. Just because they’re women doesn’t mean they’re automatically truthful.

I use to believe that there was no way anyone make a political cartoon that was more stupid than the ones drawn by Henry Payne.

We have to congratulate Joe Biden. In response to only one sexual assault claim, Joe single-handedly decimated the #MeToo movement.
