They’re limiting themselves in two dimensions. There ought to be bases that Calvin has to climb to reach!

It is amazing how some people can figure out a way to change the rules until they win. Usually, politicians. ALL of them.

Shorten the MLB season to 60 games AND convert to 26 bases. I’d watch that, for an inning or two, probably, if they played with the frantic desperation of Calvin and the calm confidence of Hobbes. Classic competing approaches to the game.

this tracks with the arc of recess baseball from a while ago. Calvin probably could have been a pretty good player if only ANYONE took 5 damn minutes to explain the actual rules of the game to him.
