We all do get to make that decision. Some of us not very well. And some of us downright meanly.

So how do you explain that you have completely ignored the virus, insofar as everything in this strip is depicted? If you want to make comments about the virus, then show the characters wearing masks, keeping apart from one another, and staying at home. If you want to show life going on as usual (as the strip has done), then don’t have them talking about how serious the virus is!

We the people do have the right to decide how we react to whatever the world throws at us. Sad that people need to be reminded of that.

It’s odd to see these characters in school, standing alongside one another, not wearing masks, but commenting on “this virus.”

It should also be noted that the vast majority of people understand the situation and want to be cautious. There is hope for mankind.

World leaders bought into the now-discredited Imperial College model and broke their economies (except for Sweden), so if the opposite of making your own decision on what is an acceptable level of safety is trusting to authority, I’ll go with my own choice, just as I get to choose if I ride a motorcycle or stick to a car, or whether I go skydiving or stay in the plane. The unalterable fact is that if you are vulnerable and you isolate yourself, you are just as safe whether or not anyone else is also isolated. So if you are at-risk, stay home. If you live with or take care of someone at-risk, stay home or take whatever extra precautions you can.Or if you just want to stay home, then do so. But that’s your choice, so don’t try to make it everyone else’s.

And you can see people honestly claim this whole worldwide pandemic is just to stop somebody from getting re-elected, since this whole virus “will magically disappear on November 3”

Why are these two characters not wearing masks and not social distancing? Not a very good example being set with this.

It’s as much that some people don’t want to see; they don’t want to see the reality of the situation.
