I feel a Wile E Coyote moment coming. I hope those wings aren’t from Acme.
How could this not remind you of that classic Wiley Coyote segment ?
You will never get lift holding your wings like a sail.
Batman Rises – The early years.
Splatman Cometh. Or goeth, rather…
Look!!
It’s Flapman!!!
Looks like an old movie taken about 100 years ago.
So much for the beta version of the opera cape.
I’m Batman!!
I’d say he’s lucky it was that windy!
CONTROLLED flight is the tricky bit.
one person flying.. kind of like today’s airline travel industry
Hint: Always test wind direction before trying to make yourself into a human kite!
“Red Bull gives you wings!”
Bruce Wayne wants to have a word with that guy.
I think you’d have to be a little batty to try that…
The Wright brothers needed two things: sand and wind. The outer banks in NC is the perfect place for that.
And then, “Batman,,, Rocks!”
For the animated version of this cartoon I hear the opening measures of Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.
I am the terror hat flaps in the night!
Fwooop fwoooop, THWACK!
Next try – Flaps Down!

These sort of test flights should only be done with calliope music accompaniment.
Shear lunacy! ☺
Flight of Icarus
Bats usually fly after dark, maybe he should try that.
BTW, would you go down wind, phew!
That could have gone so much worse!
Try this experiment a lot closer to earth before you experiment with higher places. Better yet, make a model and try it first before you experiment with your own life.
Condorman!
And not nearly wide enough.
Or a test SPLAT.
If we did not have natural examples of flying….birds, insects, etc….would man have ever aspired to fly or invent it?
