Mr. Roboto is clearly a bit off the deep end, but he does have quite an impressive house. He’s still convinced that she’s Futura, somehow.

“Wait and see. Time is all that we really need.” is from the lyrics to the Styx ballad “Don’t Let It End”. Same LP as “Mr. Roboto” and also a top-10 single.

Mysta’s analysis of him is spot on.

Wonder if Mysta could get hold of the chain in those handcuffs and make the metal cold enough to shatter?

I’ve always wondered in these situations, what happens when she has to use the bathroom? Does he expect her to sleep like that?

Look, Mysta went through a lot of surgery to look like Moon Maid. I’m just saying, MAYBE Mr Roboto isn’t SO odd compared to her….

Much as we liked the coloring a few days ago when somebody redid the outfit, we can see now she is wearing a body suit with no skin exposed except the head, hands, and perhaps the legs.

Shouldn’t she be giving a mental call for help to Honeymoon soon?

Their ship name can be “Mysta Roboto.”

I thought Mr Roboto only wanted to meet his Futura (AKA Mysta). We are clearly seeing a different aspect of his personality here. I am enjoying this Mr Roboto storyline. Parts of it remind me of some of Chester Gould’s stories.

He has too much time on his hands.

Great art. The first panel is especially Gouldian, with the distinctive architecture and fat snow flakes. Gould’s eye for structures was keen, both outside and in. Strong interior design with modern furnishings was common. The middle panel centers on Roboto’s body language as he imagines what will never be. We move in for the close up as Mysta makes her declaration on Roboto’s poor mental hygiene. An other great strip. Always a pleasure to see Mysta.

I’d almost swear that Roboto was leering at Mysta in the last panel.

interesting little tidbit of information here… did the word balloons back at the beginning of this ridiculous story NOT say “at an apartment in the city” (or some such) when roboto was introduced, and again when he made plans for “THE THURSDAY JOB”?

How then, does he live in this house in todays strip? Not to mention, how… on a warehouse worker’s salary does he even AFFORD it? (not counting the stolen payroll of course.. deposits THAT LARGE in your personal account will raise red flags and eyebrows)

i swear, someone needs to remind mike what the word CONTINUITY means

I wonder when Tracy’s granddaughter will receive her message and bring reinforcements.

All they need is time.Until 8PM,when somebody notices Mysta isn’t on stage and a ABP goes out.That great looking house and he still steals?Look for guys with credit card debt or bad luck in the stock market.They’re the perfect couple only in the sense that they’ll soon be wearing matching handcuffs.

Before I sign off, some of you have suggested that Mysta could contact someone via her antennae. I think she’s doing that right now, if the bolts we’re seeing today are an indication.

And before anyone says anything, Roboto cannot see those bolts. They are there only for the readers’ benefit. It’s like when Superman is shown using one of his vision powers. The beam is invisible to everyone in the comic, but not to the readers.

And here,in this vast jungle Hell,Roboto has proven that he is all right!!!

Looking at Roboto’s house, one can see why he’s pulling off robberies…

Warehouse jobs don’t pay very well… And that house looks beyond his ability to support owning it on those wages…

Narrative-momentum-wise, this would’ve been a great strip …. on Monday.

I’ve got several thoughts about this, but can’t quite articulate what I’m seeing. I’m finding this to be equal to the Sweatbux storyline however.

1-KABUKI: I see a great future ahead of us…

2-…Just picture it. Me. You. There’ll be no stopping us.

3-HANDLES: Is there any way something can stop your mouth breathing? Your breath is kicking like Bruce Lee. It’s causing my horns to short circuit.

KABUKI: Get used to it baby. There’s no getting a toothbrush through this mask.

HANDLES: Yeah? How do you eat then?

KABUKI: I live on love vibes baby. And maybe I used to take off the mask sometimes and have a Quarter Pounder with extra onion. It takes so long to get a special order though. Let me tell you about the time…

HANDLES: ARE YOU TRYING TO BORE ME TO DEATH??? Just kill me now. Please!
