Writing a novel is a marathon, not a sprint.

Well, he could have thought that it was a place where writers get another treat.

I wonder what it is that they’re retreating from?

Writing is too hard because you gotta get food on your plate, a shelter on your head, and some clothes on your body. Writing doesn’t pay.

Yes, writing is hard, discouraging, painful and emotionally draining. However, NOT writing is even worse (for a writer).

I always wondered what they do at retreats.

GOAT is confused, maybe we have too many stupid shows of nonsense, and “scripted” reality shows……UGH! Writers are burned out and out of ideas….

Maybe THAT’s why Hollywood is not coming up with any new stories?!

For most of us writers, writing is fun. It’s the business that is hard.

Pelosi, Trump, and all 2020 presidential candidates are looking for a new social media writer who could make them appear younger, smarter, and connected to the constituents than the actual 1% that Pelosi, Trump and all presidential candidates are connected.

I feel this way almost every day!!! But writing is an addiction, a sickness from which I fear I will never recover.

Not only is writing hard, but the odds of making a good living are approximately the same odds that a little kid has at birth… of becoming another Lew Alcindor, John Denver or President.

Pig knows what he thinks Writers’ Retreat means. And maybe he’s more right than wrong….

I can relate. I’ve done a good bit of writing over the years, and it’s a lot harder than it seems. With determination, though, the end result can be awesome. Don’t give up, Goat!

Also, seems like we haven’t seen Zebra (or the Crocs) here in quite some time …
