Nature may abhor a vacuum, but Arlo doesn’t.

The things he has to do to get every room cleaned. Poor Arlo.

Moral support? Or incentive?

The noise is helping him nap. So he moves to the room she is vacuuming. (did he offer to help clean the house?)

You can’t fight city hall.

Environment is everything!

That salmon couch—the center of their universe—

And Arlo is thinking “Man this sucks”

Can’t sleep without white noise anymore either. I always have one of those machines going.

I think Janis ran over the hand he had draped on the floor. In bed ha has his hands off the floor..

Guy naps, gal works. So typically American.

Huh?

I guess this means that Janis so anal about vacuuming that Arlo has gotten conditioned to it and can’t nap without the noise? Wish I could condition my cats like that.

Nah—-awakened by the noise, he’s playing dead so that Janis won’t put him to work

Janis should be considerate and plug in some headphones, so only she would have to hear that deafening roar.

I used to run the vacuum to keep my baby asleep. There is something about a steady drone, that blocks out the sudden jarring noises that can occur, that helps us sleep.

Arlo looks content in last panel. In panel 4, I think Janis left and he wants to be in the same room with her and or the vac noise so he went to bedroom where she would be next
