Hey, the Governor General Loudon, captained by Johan Lindemann, rode over the crest of a tsunami created by the explosion of Krakatoa in 1883. He also moved the passengers to the hold and had his crew diligently remove the volcano’s ash from the deck to avoid capsizing. Not long after, the passengers chipped in to award Lindemann a special medal for his skills in saving the ship and all on board. So I can buy Captain Eddie’s story.
You can do this in a light airplane. I was once flying from Kentucky to South Carolina over the Appalachian mountains. I found that I had to push the nose down to keep from gaining altitude. This meant that my airspeed increased to beyond what cruise speed should have been.
It was like going downhill but not losing altitude.
Then I figured it out. I was surfing on a wave of air caused by the winds coming over the mountains. Not only did I have a tailwind, but this phenomenon got me home in record time!
I’m probably one of the least political people on here, but knowing Wiley, I suspect Capt. Eddie represents the Republican party and the storm is President Trump. I think it was the face in the wave of the final panel that convinced me.
The mythic Eddie, soon to be revealed as Poseidon’s progeny, will emerge unscathed, for the sea nurtures its own. That is the only reason I can think of that Eddie still has a boat. Mere mortals would have perished long ago.
Ol’ Cap’n Eddie and Paulie will have a wild adventure of near death and mayhem over the next few days, only to have Flo and Joe roll their eyes as she pours him another cup of coffee at Flo’s Offshore Diner.

Sort of a mix of ‘The Perfect Storm’ and the Banzi pipeline. “Shaka Bra” Mahalo.

Eddie’s new theme song is the same as Individual 1’s theme song: REO Speedwagon’s “Riding the Storm Out”
