I’m sorry Tiffany. But that “suit?” It’s just not “You.” And it makes you look well, chunky and old(er). And if you’ve maxed out your limit already, you’ll need money to pay the bill next month.

The REALLY Good News, is the Trek Date between Bet and Gunther is continuing off Strip! Which means there’s a very high probability that the rest of it went without a hitch!@ It also means no hard feeling for Luann and Ox for their untimely texts.

The BAD News is, Tiffany will need a job to help pay for that credit card bill. If that dishwasher job at the Fuse is still available, it may have Tiff’s name on it. The Double Bad news is THAT will put her in easy groping distance of Mr. Knox…….,

Tiffany probably needs someone to explain to her the limit on the card she got was probably $500 as she had no independent credit card, so never had to think about what she was doing of dad’s card. So now she may get to taste what “most people” have to do to live, and the horror that she has no more credit, until she pays this off. She will actually have to get a job, the horror, in inhumanity. Sheesh, girl.

What, Tiffany? You are a college student. They don’t give limitless credit line to college students. For heaven’s sake, start really observe your fellow college students. Look at Bernice. They are not wearing high-end label clothes. Some of them don’t have cars and those who do have old used cars, likely hand-downs from their parents. Many of them have to work for their clothes, gas for their cars, the occasional pizzas and beer and perhaps a date. Like you, they probably have that same $500 limit credit card and many of them are saving theirs for emergencies – like a flight home or something like that. You’ve been out of touch with how the majority of people live. Now you’re smack in the middle of it all. Welcome to reality.

This is probably the first time we see Tiffany in a black suit. She looks so Weird. I wonder if Bernice will end up using Tiffany like a subject of study to do a term paper on “Spoiled teens who discover the real life during College”. It would be really interesting to read.

Somebody should have told Tiffany that they give credit cards to college kids because they know they’re bad at paying them. Paying the $50 minimum at the end of the month, and watch your debt go down by $10. Put $1000 on that card, and you’ll be paying it for ten years after giving them $10000..

Too soon for a return to this. I was hoping for a short respite with a Pitts CC episode. Nothing heavy like a creepy class proctor or Tara’s missing weekend. Maybe an Economics class to segue back to the Tiff arc.

It is good to see Bernice interacting with Tiff in some way other than dorm monitor. In fact it would seem that Tiffany has replaced Luann as targets for Bern’s acerbic foil. Except for Sunday’s, of course.

Perhaps, as I’ve wondered before, Tiffany, Bernice and Dez will become regulars in a new “triumvirate.” Something like Luann, Jack and Tara.

So, what are the potential prognostications here for the story arc after Tiffany gets into a really bad situation when the bills for the credit card arrive and she cannot pay them?

    1. She runs to “Daddy” Tom Cat Ferrell to get bailed out…. and he does bail her out of this mess. 1 out of 10

    2. She runs to “Daddy” Tom Cat Ferrell to get bailed out…. and gets intercepted by Ann… and Ann convincingly threatens to get Tiffany in more trouble with her Dad… unless she can count on Tiffany’s “help” in a “very pressing project” she would like her involvement in. 4 out of 10

    3. Tiffany tries to do actual labor at some place (The Fuse, Wennie World, etc) and hyjinks ensue as we watch Tiffany replicate a lot of classic “I Love Lucy” scenes for comedic effect. 5 out of 10

    4. Tiffany lands a job at a nail place, and ends up becoming responsible and paying for her credit and learning a thing or three about a more normal reality for most college students. 4 our of 10

Probably none of the above will happen… but those are the things I thought of this morning sans pipe and coffee.

An even more unpleasant surprise, next month, in the mail, will be something new, its called a “credit card bill”…oh, and there’s something called “interest”, and “monthly fees” and the credit card company is quite insistent upon getting paid…at least that’s been my experience.

Dear God… Will someone please teach Tiffany the importance of getting a job! At least get her to apply for a job in a salon where she can get some on-the-job training as well as earn some money. And, while they’re at it, they should teach Tiffany to actually SAVE some money, so she won’t have to rely on credit cards. At least show her how to set up a “shoebox account”. Even a piggy bank can work wonders.

i’m glad the card gave Tiff a 500 monthly limit; maybe getting her own card was a good idea after all; she’ll learn how to keep a budget without having to deal with Ann; Tiff will get guidance from Dez and Bernice instead. Some are mad that Ann Eiffel’s fraudulent ways have not come back to bite her. I think these are different arcs; G&K don’t want to go there right now.

In the 1960s, there were several prominent rock and roll band’s whose members occasionally engaged in what psychologists refer to as “projecting”. That is, one member would point their finger at another band member and say something to the effect of, “This other person does this and that wrong”, when in reality it was the finger pointer who was guilty of that very transgression. Imagine the surprise of more than a few of us here when it finally became obvious that the things Tiff had been pointing her finger at Ann E. for were actually things she was doing herself…..

I am so saddened by the events in Paris. Notre Dame seems like a dear old friend. I am in hopes the cathedral can be reconstructed, but even before the fire, there were problems keeping up with repairs of the decay to the building. Even so, determination will overcome any obstacle.
