I know it’s atmospheric and artistic license, but seeing furry or feathery characters sweat with droplets always looks odd to me.

Wouldn’t a square speech bubble indicate a machine voice?

Poor kid is terrified. It’s one thing to live in a colony where most of the folks around you would prefer you were dead from the day you hatched; and another to face new dangers with people who care about you. But facing an unknown threat, in the dark alone is a whole new experience.
