I’m thinking the only place in the house Michael actually likes is his bedroom… WITH privacy.

I really dislike Teenager in a snit. I work with teenagers everyday and raised two. Such hormonal creatures.

Elly, if he wants to walk around in a snit, let him be.

I never minded setting the table because it was my sisters who had to clean up after dinner.

Ellie had better be glad she was hugging Michael and not me. When i’m in a snit like that, I ABSOLUTELY DETEST someone trying to make me feel better and go bug psycho ballistic over it.

Quit being such a brat Michael and count your blessings. Some kids go to bed hungry.

How many middle aged adults want to go back and yell at their teenage self to knock it off?

Just wait until you join the Marines or whatever. You’ll miss every little bit of that stuff. Then you will learn new chores that you can really learn to hate. Like shining brass.

Keep up the good work, Michael, and soon you will have to crash on some near stranger’s bedbug infested couch.

I’ve raised boys and yes they were a lot of work. Later in life I had the privilege of helping to raise a teenage girl. They are not as much trouble as boys, but OMG the drama!!!

Even if it doesn’t ruin the hate mood, it’s fun to just torture teens this way regardless!

I remember when my kids got into “don’t touch me phase” they still needed the hugs, but they were sideways kinds, like when I was sitting and watching TV they would sidle up to me really close and I would hug them with one arm and they would put their head on my shoulder…

Damned hormones interfer with the thought processes. And still the frontal lobe has not fully formed till you are about 25-27.

Depends on the age of the teen, at 16 I was in the Army which has a tendency to stop bad behavior – the hard way!
