Today’s strip only brings back a lot of bad memories for me from when I was in school back in the day.Have never cared for anyone who wants to be a bully.

I know this is from the 90s, but where are the adults!

Great social commentary. Make all the rules you want. Criminals don’t follow them, you just give the nice people less freedom.

Unfortunately, people like Moe sometimes become political leaders and think that rules are only for other countries.

I’m wondering why Calvin’s parents are unaware of this situation. Also the school. But it is a cartoon.

Our society, (government?), is working on teaching us not to stand up for ourselves, but to depend on authority to do it for us. That way, when the government bullies us, we won’t know how to resist.

If memory serves me this comic came out around the time of Leona Helmsley trial where she was quoted as saying “We don’t pay taxes. Only the little people pay taxes.”

Too many Moes in the world.

I’m lucky we don’t have Moes in my school. shudders

I was the smallest kid in class. When the bully grabbed my ice cream cone, I sunk my teeth into his hand. He spent a good two minutes, literally picking me up off the ground and shaking me around, but I hung on. Lost the ice cream cone, but he didn’t get it either, and he decided to pick on someone else from now on. I think we both learned a good life lesson there.

Does Moe work in the Oval Office now?

I was lucky in school…was fat, brainy and one of the few with glasses…nobody bullied me and I had friends!

Wow, that is a forward-looking prophecy! Calvin was able to look directly into the 2018 midterm elections with amazing accuracy.
