It’s a proven fact that married couples that sleep together as they age, live longer. It’s because they love each other and take care of each other, and watch over each other’s health. (I read that in some Science News article)

There is truth in this joke. And, yes, they should be looked at by a doctor.

Almost that very comment, “You ought to have that looked at”, probably saved the life of a former coworker of mine. He was having a colonoscopy when the gastroenterologist noticed a brown spot on the sole of my coworker’s foot. In the post procedure discussion, the doctor told my coworker that, if it was him, he would see a dermatologist soon. To make a long story shorter, the brown spot turned out to melanoma. It was fairly large but they were able to remove it before it metastasized.
