Ok, I guess I don’t know who the guy is that Mike is talking to, so I’m not getting the joke. Anybody?

Is there a reality distortion field like in Inside Out, without which we see their rehearsal clothes?

I took a cue from the second panel: “John Richard Kasich is an American politician and the 69th and current Governor of Ohio.” There are just too many Republican candidates.

Don’t worry. The Republican Establishment will pick a #1 and #2 at the convention and then rig the state votes. Those will be the names that count.

Charles, that’s breaking the ‘fifth wall’—-treating them as though they were actors in the strip who’ve come out of character.

Kasich is considered the “sane” Republican candidate, as he has backed off the worst economic policies after they did not work well in Ohio. (As opposed to governors that have doubled down on bad policies like Brownback.)

Kasich is a big government do-gooder so I can see why Trudeau likes him. Much like Jim Webb, what’s he doing there? Rubio is the Establishment front-runner after Bush “accidentally” self-destructed in the last debate. Yeah, like Rubio’s ascendancy wasn’t staged. He was always the backup plan. Expect the Establishment and much of Fox News to do everything they can to rig things in Rubio’s favor. Trump’s the best chance at upsetting the rigged Republican/Democrat game. It’s probably too late to matter, but what the heck.

If this hard-core liberal had to pick one of the current crop of Republicans for president, I would choose Lindsey Graham. Not because I agree with his ideas, but because he is the only one of the R’s who seems to actually believe what he is saying when he talks.

Great to see current events without the PSA here today, though I do understand why he did the PSA last week. It was timeless. Unfortunately, there may never be a cure for cancer since we are too complex as human organisms. We can only be vigilant and do the best we can.

The T-boners who vote in the Repug primaries have taken their anti-government zealotry to its logical conclusion. Hence we see the ascendancy of candidates like Mr. Trump, Dr. Carson, and Ms. Fiorina. None of the three has any experience whatsoever with governing or legislating, or is thus tainted in any way by association with government. What this means is that, if any of the three is elected, the Congress of the past six years will look like “the good old days when Congress actually did something”, rather than the incompetent and lackluster accomplished-less-than-any-other-Congress-in-history it has actually been. If the zealots succeed in dismantling government, I will anxiously await their mea culpas when the US, then the world economy collapses into the Great Depression Redux. I think it more likely, however, that they will be complaining loud and long about how the government is doing nothing to help them. Hypocrisy will never go out of fashion.

I seem to recall that at some point in the 1980s Bernie broke through the 4th dimension; I note that since then he has leaned to the Establishment/Moderate Republican side. Does he maybe know something that he’s not telling us?!

Kasich isn’t as insane as the other candidates. But his trademark moves in Ohio include slashing education funding and funneling taxpayer money to his buddies in private business.
