I think it’s impressive how quickly BCN is gaining followers. Only a couple of weeks ago, there were about 7700. Now there are almost 500 more. Pretty impressive!

My kitties were strays who came in with kitty colds (apparently kitty herpes is common). Vet recommended lysine – rather than buy the expensive vet version, she said to get a bottle of people tablets, crush them, and mix with their soft food. Worked great! I still bring it out if they get a little sneezy or weepy-eyed.
Years ago I was in Germany on a student exchange. My host family’s cat was missing for several days and they presumed she had been hit by a car. Eventually we spotted her in the window of the neighbor’s house – apparently she got in just before they left on vacation. We had to do a little breaking and entering through a window left ajar to get her out (with apologies to the neighbor upon their return). I had fun trying to explain the idiom, “Curiosity killed the cat!” (“Neugierig hat der Katze getötet”)
