The GOPs new guide for dealing with climate change: Step one: close your eyesStep two: stick your fingers in your ears (if you, like the president, have fingers too small to cover your ear holes, ear plugs will suffice)Step three: say “lalalala I’m not listening, fake news” on repeatStep four: when something bad happens because you didn’t listen, blame it on somebody else

Trump is by no means intelligent, and by all means corrupt. But actually, even Donald Trump knows climate change is real but finds it more profitable to lie and deny.

We know he knows it is real because he petitioned the government of Ireland for permission to build a SEA WALL to protect against rising sea levels at his golf course property in Doughmore Bay, Doonbeg, County Clare, Ireland.

So he knows it is real, wants to protect himself, but will sell everyone else (and future generations) down the river for thirty pieces of oil-stained, blood-stained silver.

    The hypocrisy astounds.

He’s thinking that as long as he is rich enough, he can buy property high enough above sea level to survive. He can buy whatever food and supplies he needs, and even oxygen generators.

Anyone who isn’t rich isn’t worthy. If that isn’t what he thinks, it’s what he feels.

I listen to his ignorance but then he reminds me he is smart/highly intelligent etc something I’ve never seen any other person feel the need to repeatedly do. Strikes me as extremely short sighted.

Oh, c’mon. He’s seen that pie coming, opened his mouth, and the pie would never spatter going down. After all, his “gut” is smarter than scientists, generals, experts, his own advisers, and anyone who doesn’t give him “facts” to support what his gut is telling him.

How is climate change denial any different from death worship? Not death of just people, death of everything.

Of course he’s an intelligent person, he’s a very stable genius. We know this because he uses the best words, the biggest words, and everybody says they’re the best words and the biggest words, and islands are surrounded by big water, and hurricanes have big water, and beautiful clean coal, and,… and,… MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, MAKE IT STOP!

It’s true what some have said, Trump probably does accept the basic premise of climate change. But, it is amazing that he didn’t find some way to squelch this WH report that is one of the most damning statements to date.

A: Bill knows when he took a pie to the face.

Conservative pundit Max Boot: It’s time to sound the planetary alarm. This is likely to be the fourth-hottest year on record. The record-holder is 2016, followed by 2015 and 2017. A climate change website notes that “the five warmest years in the global record have all come in the 2010s” and “the 10 warmest years on record have all come since 1998.” Imagine if these figures reflected a rise in terrorism — or illegal immigration. Republicans would be freaking out. Yet they are oddly blasé about this climate code red. President Trump, whose minions buried the climate-change report on the day after Thanksgiving, told Axios: “Is there climate change? Yeah. Will it go back like this, I mean will it change back? Probably.” And, amid a recent cold snap, he tweeted: “Brutal and Extended Cold Blast could shatter ALL RECORDS – Whatever happened to Global Warming?”By this point, no one should be surprised that the president can’t tell the difference between short-term weather fluctuations and long-term climate trends. At least he didn’t repeat his crazy suggestion that climate change is a Chinese hoax. …I’ve owned up to the danger. Why haven’t other conservatives? They are captives, first and foremost, of the fossil fuel industry, which outspent green groups 10 to 1 in lobbying on climate change from 2000 to 2016. But they are also captives of their own rigid ideology. It is a tragedy for the entire planet that the United States’ governing party is impervious to science and reason.
