The truth is people of both sides see the opposition as stupid, why else would they disagree with MY well thought out position. If you accept the other sides opinion a being possibly valid your half way to having a rational discussion, that is against the laws of nature.

That, dear readers, includes ALL of talk radio (as well as all cable “news” programs, but that would have made the cartoon more complicated). Most of you seem to think it’s directed at conservative talk radio, as there are more of those, but it is not. This is about preaching to the choir, which is what all talk radio has devolved to. There was once a time when talk radio stations had a variety of hosts of all political stripes. It was far more interesting as you’d get actual dialogue from people and hosts. We don’t get that anymore. It is now completely agenda driven, by both ends of the political spectrum. And that’s why I stopped listening to talk radio and stopped watching cable news programs years ago, even to those who I agreed with politically. I prefer to do my own thinking, thank you, not follow mindlessly behind some talking head who’s only interested in ratings.
One last thing…for those of you who for some reason were upset by this cartoon and responded with a personal attack, all you are doing is validating the point of the satire and actually agreeing with it. You see the truth in it, but rather than face up to it, you launch into name-calling hoping to divert attention away from the point. If you disagree with the point, state your disagreement with it, and try to do so in a civil manner. That’s how it used to be in a bygone era of radio.

A radio talk show host has but one job… grab as big an audience as possible, by any means possible and generate Money for him/herself, the station owner and the All Mighty sponsors. There is no other reason for their existence… if it was for the good of the public… no one would notice… but HATE something… now, that’s radio !!
I fully agree with Wiley, whether Rush or Reverend Al, polarization is our problem today, without recognizing the reality is closer to the equator.
That said, I don’t listen to radio that much, because it’s not closed captioned, and even with hearing aids, trying to understand all that’s said by “mumblers” is very hard, and trying. BUT: it’s also interesting that it’s always the extremist “conservatives” who label all “liberals” as “sheeple”, who are the first to jump on such a ’toon like wooly lemmings taking offense.
Wiley must still be bummed because his beloved Airhead America crashed and burned years ago, while El Rushbo, The Han-Man, and The Great One are still going strong (and keep getting stonger).

My old high school history teacher (back in the ’60’s) is now a shock jock on Sydney talk-back radio. After being compelled to attend several 40minute period each week for 2 years with him, I cannot understand why so many people voluntarily tune in now.
So, Miller, are you a member of the audience? Just, think about it before you answer… (Ok, for those of you in Rio Linda – if he’s not a member of the audience, how does he know the content? From what others tell him? That’s generally the case for critics of FNC.)
