The really wonderful† thing I get by reading these ‘toons: Who in HECK pays him to do this? At least yesterday’s shows us that a blind squirrel can get a ’toon right every so often. Or seldom.
Payne reminds me of the story about a man walking down the street when another man pulls out a gun and says, “Your money or your life.” The first man replies, “Take my life, I need my money for old age.”
“Finding out that this virus is now transmitting before people see signs, so what we’ve been telling people from directives from the CDC for weeks now that if you start feeling bad, stay home … those individuals could’ve been infecting people before they ever felt bad, but we didn’t know that until the last 24 hours. And as [Georgia Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey] told me, this is a game changer for us.” — Brian Kemp, Governor of Georgia
Fiasco flu directives. Common sense in January; masks, social distance 24 feet social distance. Work on vaccine immediately. Not throw helicopter money to the peasants and billions to financial institutions. Bailing out billionaires? Throw a billion at research!
Payne, let me tell you how it happened. Trump had already gutted the CDC and other essential services weakening the nation’s ability to respond to the virus. After the virus struck he wasted weeks ignoring warnings from experts and calling it a a Democratic hoax. He was slow to enact measures and still has no cohesive federal plan to see us through. Now hundreds of thousands are about to die and tens of millions are about lose their jobs. The blame is not entirely Trump’s. The Republican establishment, the conservative media and right wing cartoonists Such as yourself, instead of correcting him and informing the public chose to propagate the same nonsense Trump was spouting. THAT mr. Payne is how it happened.
Henry, do you have ANY basis for congress being surprised by this? They knew they had options of Rock and Hard Place. We are not in the worst of it yet. So get this thru your head- ITS GOING TO GET WORSE. Job losses, economy, and death. You are about 60, part of the cult, why aren’t you offering to die for the economy?
Tucker on Fox News argues the price of losing the economy is worse than losing.. 2~3.. 6? million folk. On average, surely the poor (and colored) which tend to be Democrats would be more likely to die so it would be a win-win.
Yup. because we were going to be the only country in the world that wasn’t going to shut down over this right?
This from the same folks that called the travel restriction from China on January 31 racist, and xenophobic – including the presumptive Democrat nominee Joseph Robinette Biden.
Oh yes, and one Nancy Pelosi a DEMOCRAT actively encouraged people to attend Chinatown celebrations on February 24 even when we knew this thing was starting to ramp up.
And let us not forget the moronic former (thank God) Presidential candidate one William De Blasio encouraging activities despite warnings. And this includes Chinatown as well. And this twit went to the gym the day after ordering other gyms in the city to shut down.
Why Henry, do you mean to suggest that even the actions (or, in this case, inactions) of the Chosen One, the “stable genius,” the One who proclaimed “Only I can fix it,” might have consequences?
Congress shut down America’s businesses? I don’t remember seeing it pass any legislation like that. “Stay at home” orders have come from state governors, local mayors, and now from the White House. More alternate facts from Payne…

You have to be as dense as Henry Payne to come up with a question like that!
