I am a white woman approached by a white guest in our lobby. She engages me in conversation, and it soon becomes apparent she’s trying to make it very racially charged.
Guest: “They’re just trying to take away our culture! Doesn’t that bother you?”
Me: “Well, ma’am, I’m really not worried about anybody coming for our trailer parks and chili dogs.”
Her silence was interrupted only by the receptionist snorting behind the desk, trying to contain herself.
2nd one: Eww… Culture!
It is the age of video rental stores, and a mother comes up to me to rent a movie that is notorious for looking innocent on the cover but being far from family-friendly. I normally wouldn’t care about this, but it’s her seven-year-old son who is holding the DVD to hand to me.
Me: “Ma’am, that film contains full frontal female nudity.”
Customer: “That’s fine.”
Me: “And quite graphic violence.”
Customer: “It’s all good; he goes to shoot deer with his dad all the time.”
I shrug and process the rental. Literally the next day, she’s back and slamming the DVD down in front of me.

So THAT is where society draws the line.
Not MY stories.

Would be cool if we could really see what Miss Fancy is “saying” in thought balloons, like Snoopy.
Bet they wouldn’t be as good as what the readers would think up!

Yep Fancy still doesn’t get along with Adam very much.

Careful Ms Fancy, or you’ll end up a mottled brown bunny.

Beat the snot out of a bully one day, and pinkies up at tea the next! I love how versatile Katie is!

I think Ms. Fancy needs a lesson in manners.

After his experience with the “coffee exorcist”, i would think Adam is justified.

Well, I’m with Adam on this. I prefer my coffee in a large double handled mug.

All I could make out was “teenage feet” and “burning dung”, but I’m way over here.

Me neither! Ms Fancy is going to have to cough up for the swear jar.

Sure you have Adam, the last time you attended the tea party.
eb110americana about 2 months ago
Is Adam reverse-detoxifying the tea party like that huckster cleaned his office with tea?

Anyone else real Ms. Fancy and Adam’s dialogue in the voices of Groucho Marx and Margaret Dumont, respectively?
Wait… what do you mean Ms. Fancy doesn’t have dialogue?

Is Ms. Fancy against magic?
