An ice cube, Horace… break an ice cube! Work smarter, not harder!

I’ve posted this story on a couple other comix since it happened. Apologies to those that have heard it, but it seems appropriate for today. …..

I went ice skating on the lake across from my house on Christmas Day. Because of warm weather, the ice was glass smooth and not covered with snow as it usually is. Long story short, this 72 year old kid fell through the ice about 50 feet from shore where the water fortunately was just a little over waist high. I had my hockey stick and was so looking forward to skating. I was alone and saved myself. It wasn’t to hard to get back on top of the ice, but I had to ’’elbow’’ my way to shore. I’m pretty sure I looked like a walrus trying to beach itself.

I shouldn’t be horsing around like that at my age. It’s all your fault Horace!

At least Horace knows how to cut onions safely.

Next time order your drink ‘on the rocks’ and just throw a cube on the floor.

A wet horse doesn’t smell much better than a wet dog.. She doesn’t like the smell of either.

You can cut down on the tears from slicing onions by rising the cut sides in cold water.

She did tell him to go jump in a lake. There’s just no pleasing some mares.

I guess in Samson’s Finland that ice gets real thick.
