Orc is a common word that has been in use since well before The Hobbit. Probably comes from German mythology, but refers to a monster, a demon.
Comic strips certainly aren’t like the real world. A coffee manufacturer would never admit to mislabeling their product. A ton of lawsuits would follow.

Beethoven loved the French revolution and the republican movement, of which Napoleon initially was a part of. So Beethoven wrote the 5th symphony for Napoleon and was preparing to perform it when Napoleon declared himself Emperor of the World. Beethoven was furious and ripped out every reference to Napoleon. That always cracked me up.
