Trust not the dissembling words, trust what she actually does

Is Tara Dense? She can’t tell that Luann is romantically interested in Piro?

Considering Piro is Tara’s cousin, it’s a little weird how much she’s giving off a jealousy vibe.

Piro is an adult and doesn’t need Tara to protect him… especially from Luann.

Yeah. Working together. Except that I think that Luann would like to take over Tara’s job here, too.

How did Luann know Piro would take the class again?

Tara is not happy but Luann is.

Oh for the… Tara isn’t giving off any jealousy vibes here. She is genuinely asking LuAnn if her behavior is due to her interest in her cousin. And the last panel show a bemusement towards LuAnn’s semi-denial. What’s with the “jealousy vibe” , and “semi-incestuous” talk? You people have some serious issues.

Evanseseses – give Luann a little lovin’ here. This unrequited love schtick with both Tiff and Luann (and to some extent Bernice) is getting old.

Is Luann’s need to nutrute and protect a fragile soul, an authentic gesture? ( Maternal instinct)

Thank you to Greg and Karen for working so hard to create something kind, friendly, and optimistic in a world that is so often extremely depressing due to the absolutely corrupt people that run it politically.

This is kinda like “Luann Again” – with updated attire.

Luann – Tara – Piro. Tiffany – Steff – Kip. Gunther – Betts – Betts fans. Frankly, I’d rather watch Dez.

Did you ever stop to think that Piro may not WANT to be happy? At least, not as you define it!!

I also wondered why Tara was so jealous of Luann. It’s not like she can marry him, unless they are at least second cousins.

Good to see Lu’s got her eye on someone. There are possibilities here.

Tara smiles ironically, but she’s happy to see Luann happy to see that Piro has arrived and to know that Luann wants to make herself happy making him happy. I think Tara really likes Luann as a person. She knows that she does everything to help those in need and she owes her a lot. That’s why I hope she sincerely wants to help her develop a good relationship with Piro and that Luann’s competition remains at a playful level and with the common goal of cheering him up. But Piro probably still only thinking about Bernice… If Bernice enters the competition, any chance of it to remaining at playful levels would vanish.

Tara’s right:. It’s not about Piro (Cousin Walt). It’s about winning.

It’s hard to keep two schools straight. Is this correct?

University:. Bern, Tiff, Gunther, Tara begin there. They have classmates Dez, Sun, Piro, Steph, Bets, and a few others. Then Tara is kicked out.

Community: Luann begins there with classmates Jack and Nil plus a few others. Tara enrolls after Muni theft.

So when did Piro transfer?

Luann is a horrible liar and Tara clearly knows it.

Luann’s emulating Bernice’s “Muse” behavior except Luann’s decided she’s “the Muse of Comedy” to try to make Piro less gloomy. Luann saw how much of an ego boost it was for Bernice to bask in the attention at the Spring Fair, so to her she’s jumping on the opportunity. Heaven help us if Luann becomes as insufferable as Bernice was though! If she breaks out the bohemian clothes, we’ll know the extent to which Bernice is a bad influence. Given she’s attempting to be the Muse of Comedy, maybe she’ll wear maybe clown shoes and Groucho Marx glasses/stache and she’ll run around waking people with an oversized rubber chicken or spraying them with a squirt flower.

What the hell is with you people assuming Piro is either coming out as gay or trans? And what if that is the situation? IT SHOULD NOT MATTER. Sure there is a period of adjusting how you think of the person henceforth, and it can still be confusing. But if that person is genuine, it should not be such a big deal. I have a long time friend who just came out as trans 2 months ago. I admit i am supportive ,but still adjusting my thinking because it is a big change. Intellectually I should not care as it does not change my life. We are still friends, but, I need time to adjust. They told me to take my time, as it took them years to admit to themselves their reality.

Tara is not being jealous here. She is being droll. She’s teasing Luann and trying to get her to admit her attraction for Walt aka Piro. And I think Tara feels these two are not good for each other and that it will only result in heartbreak for Luann and emotional discomfort for her fragile cousin.

Luann certainly puts on a brave face, pretending to be happy herself.

Tara needs to tak a good long look in the mirror. Luann wants to be the one who Piro turns to for acceptance.

Tara seems to have a proprietary sense of responsibility toward Piro, not trusting anyone but herself to be his rescuer.

It’s nice to feel accepted but I doubt it’ll help for them to fight over him.

Why can’t Luann be excited to see Piro? Tara is so controlling.

Tara reminds me of the girl I met in college I tried to include who insisted I was shutting her out. She twisted everything I said and did, triangulating me so she could use me and punish me for her action and attitude.

It’s still weird for cousins to be attracted to each other romantically. You share a set of grandparents! Gene pool too close for comfort. When my best friend got married for the first time, he was one of 7 children. One of the cousins had a crush on his brother, who was best man and I walked down the aisle with him as maid of honor. She kept looking at him and talking about him like he was a stranger she liked. This was in 1976. He had a girlfriend. It was just weird to me. He was good looking but he’s her cousin! Off limits.

If Luann wants to work with Tara, why didn’t she save the seat between them for Piro?

I hope @sheriff lets G&K know how many readers here are into cousins acting romantically. Maybe they can re-write a future arc to show how nonsensical that is for THIS strip. :-/

If you don’t recognize Piro, he’s the guy carrying a whip and a straight chair. Down,girls,up on your chairs, lemme alone!

This is a borderline inappropriate story arc given that Tara is Piro’s cousin. She seems to be acting more like a jealous suitor than his cousin. I was never this interested in any cousin of mine.

As Luann pivots in this plot twist, she Pirouettes! ;-p

Nothing wrong with mutual happiness.

Maybe Tara knows her cousin better than Luann. And she knows Luann… Luann just wants a “boyfriend” and any boy any other girl is interested in, she pursues doggedly.

Luann’s eagerness about Piro is the same as it was at the beginning of last weeks arc in Luann Again with Aaron. She didn’t win then and probably she won’t prevail with Piro. But I wish her luck.

I would be happy if Piro spent the whole time in class asking Luann about Bernice. If Luann wasn’t so obnoxious and pushy maybe she could get a nice guy interested in her. The only time she gets interested in a boy is 1 – when he is someone else’s boyfriend (this is a trait she and Tiffany share equally) or 2 – when he represents a “project” she can ultimately take all the credit for “fixing”.

It’s all about the ego for Little Miss Luann DeGroot, but what’s going to happen when Piro doesn’t act the way she thinks a boyfriend should behave?

“Him”? Maybe Piro is trans? That would be a cool development.

“I’m working with you Tara”. Who said Tara was “working” on Piro? Or using a “method”? She didn’t. All she said was she took Piro parasailing. Luann seems to think there is no laughing or smiling while parasailing. What a ditzy moronic ninny Luann is. Tara knows what guys like to do. Luann hasn’t a clue.

The ironic thing, Tara, is that our favorite dodo, Lulu, probably believes everything she is saying….
