First time Garfield says “I Hate Mondays” in 7 years

i’m on summer break so mondays are just another day

Seems Monday should be just another day to Garfield since he doesn’t work or go to school. I don’t think it’s ever explained why he hates Mondays. But any day that starts with a cup of coffee can’t be so bad, at least it started right.

Garfield looks like he’s had full-strength or decaf coffee, but just can’t decide.

Garfield’s happiness is connected to his full stomach, not the calendar. Oh, and kicking Odie.

Considering that facial expression I think I’d prefer miserable Garfield

reminds me of that omori meme where hero has the depressed status but has just used smile so hes smiling in his portrait while the emotion above his head says ‘depressed’

Had a coworker once who showd this expression after her first sip of tea in the morning. Someone was cleaning the electric water jug and hadn’t told her that there still was vinegar essence in it. I will never know why she didn’t smell it when she heated up that broth.

Genuinely scary face…..

Why does garfield hate Mondays? No Mondays have been bad for him for a few years I think.

I’m sure Mondays aren’t thrilled with Garfield either

I have a coffee mug with Garfield saying ‘I Hate Mondays’ on it & I’ve had the mug for over 10 years ago.

I’m off today after working the weekend. I have a vacation coming up in August that starts on a Monday and ends Tuesday of the following week. Monday is as Monday does.

Garfield, what is there to hate about Mondays? I love Mondays, for they are the start of my six days of Saturday. When you are retired everyday is Monday except for Sunday.

There is no reason to hate Monday unless you work Mon-Fri job.

That first frame is an exact replica of my brother…except that it should read “I hate mornings”. I was, and am, a morning dude. Pandemonium always pursued whist growing up.

I like this Monday. I took the day off.

I am guessing that today’s rush hour traffic is a snap, since anyone who possibly could took today off.

If you want him to be cheerful, you have two choices. Have a lasagna door dashed from a restaurant or have a pizza door dashed.

There was a time when Garfield really appeared to enjoy hating Mondays. I think it was a national holiday, though.

Garfield does have a big mouth, but that is a whole lot of teeth!
