My late husband was a musician, so his meals were: Breakfast when I had my lunch. Lunch, when I had my dinner, Dinner after I was in bed. When he got off work he’s often go & have dinner food & was often told how can you eat that at this hour. It was like anyone with a day job stopping for something after work. After all IHOP has pancakes all day.
I did acting since I was 8, then became a nurse so I was up all night for over 50 years. Now, retired, I feel like my circadian rhythm is all sorts of messed up!
Some people are definitely too rigid with their arbitrary rules! What difference does it make if you eat a breakfast burrito for dinner? I occasionally make “breakfast” for dinner (bacon & eggs, pancakes, French toast or waffles…) just because that’s what I feel like eating
When I married my husband almost 40 yrs ago, he had a rule. No breakfast food after 11:00 AM. No lunch food like sandwiches after 4PM. I love breakfast food any time of the day but would he eat pancakes or scrambled eggs after 11? Nope. It was a joke with my friends when we’d all go out to eat in Vegas when we’d meet up for rodeos or other horse events. 3PM and we would all order waffles or pancakes but he refused. I’ve noticed he’s changed a bit over the years.
Mostly I gravitate to typical breakfast foods first thing in the morning, though that can vary a little (in my college days, sometimes breakfast would be a couple of hot dogs — quick and easy to prepare). Lunch or dinner can be whatever I’m in the mood for, including eggs or other “breakfast” fare, regardless of the arbitrary dictates of society!

With the time change Ralph seems to be eating better. This will start a new fad; The Spring Forward diet.

My husband is German. They eat cold cuts for breakfast. Check out any buffet at a German hotel and you’ll find cold cuts.

Must be an accommodating restaurant to fill Ralph’s order like that…

For me, the words “breakfast” and “burrito” just don’t go together.

Who decided what’s a “breakfast food” and what isn’t and why do I have to conform to their ideas?

What I like about being a single adult is that you can eat anything you want when you want to!

I’ve used lunchmeat in omelettes for breakfast. Works very well.

What an overbearing shrew! If it’s on the menu, let him eat what he wants.
